Terms of use
Last updated: 9 September 2026
These terms cover your use of the Delvd app, the business dashboard at business.delvd.co.uk and our websites ("Delvd"). They are an agreement between you and DELVD LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17363621, registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. By creating an account or using Delvd you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Delvd. Contact: hello@delvd.co.uk.
1. What Delvd is
Delvd is a discovery platform for independent food venues. Venues list profiles, menus, posts and offers: Raids (surprise bags of surplus food collected in a set window), Steals (time-limited discounts claimed upfront and redeemed once at the venue), and Order & Collect (ordering from a venue's menu for collection or, where the venue offers it, delivery). Delvd is the marketplace, not the food business: the venue prepares and hands over your order and is responsible for its contents, allergens, hygiene and quality. Always tell the venue about allergies; you can add an allergy note to an order, but a note is not a substitute for telling staff in person about a severe allergy when you collect or take delivery.
2. Your account
- You must be 13 or over to use Delvd, and 18 or over for offers containing alcohol (photo ID may be checked on collection).
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- One account per person, real date of birth required.
- You can delete your account any time in Settings. That removes your account and content permanently.
3. Raids and Steals
- A Raid is a surprise: contents vary and are not chosen by you. The listing price and collection window are set by the venue.
- Reservations are held for you until the end of the collection window. If you cannot make it, cancel in the app so the bag goes back on sale.
- A small service fee is added at checkout and shown, all in, before you confirm.
- You pay in the app when you reserve. If you cancel a reservation before the collection window ends, you are refunded in full. If you do not collect, the order is marked missed and is not refunded: the food was held for you and cannot be resold. This does not affect your statutory rights where an order was not made available to you.
- Steals are valid for the period shown when buying and are redeemed once at the venue. A Steal is paid for in the app when you buy it.
4. Order & Collect
- You order from the venue's menu and pay in the app. The price you see at checkout is the total, inclusive of the service fee, and, for delivery, any delivery fee and small order fee the venue sets. All of these are shown before you confirm.
- When you place the order your card is authorised, not charged. The venue then accepts or declines. You are charged only when the venue accepts. If the venue declines, or does not respond in time, the authorisation is released and you are not charged.
- Once the venue has accepted, your food is being prepared, so an accepted order cannot be cancelled for a refund. If something is wrong with your order, contact the venue, and contact us at hello@delvd.co.uk if it is not resolved. Nothing here removes your statutory rights.
- You are responsible for collecting, or being available for delivery, at the time arranged. Allergy information you give is passed to the venue with the order; always tell staff in person about a severe allergy.
5. Your content
- Reviews are gated behind a check-in or a purchase at the venue and must reflect a genuine visit. No fake, paid-for or retaliatory reviews.
- A review is public and stays public. It is published with your username and profile picture, it appears on that venue's public page on our website where search engines can index it, and setting your account to private does not hide it. Deleting the review, or your account, removes it from Delvd.
- You own the content you post. You give Delvd a licence to display it on the platform and in Delvd's own marketing of the platform (with your username). You can delete your content at any time.
- No unlawful, hateful, harassing, deceptive or explicit content; no spam; no posting other people's personal information. We remove content that breaks these rules and may suspend accounts that repeat it.
- Report anything that looks wrong with the in-app report button.
6. Venues
Business accounts must be genuinely connected to the venue they manage. Listings are verified before editing rights are granted; we may remove or correct listings, offers or replies that are inaccurate or break these terms. Commercial terms (commission and fees) are shown in the business dashboard.
7. Delvd's role and liability
We work to keep Delvd accurate and available, but venues set their own menus, hours, prices and offers, and we cannot guarantee any listing is error-free or any offer stays available. To the extent the law allows, Delvd is not liable for the quality or safety of food prepared by venues, or for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our own breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
8. Ending or changing things
We may suspend accounts that break these terms or the law. We may update these terms; if a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
